Baru-baru ini isu ini naik lagi.
Tak tahu apa nak jadi dengan sesetengah rakyat Malaysia sekarang.
Hutang sendiri pun dah tak nak bayar.
Lepas itu, nak salahkan orang lain (kerajaan lah, ptptn lah, politician lah, etc).
Biasa lah tu, diri sendiri tak pernah salah.
Asik-asik orang lain yang salah.
Inilah dia, contoh orang yang tak nak mengambil pelajaran.
Kawan, sedarlah sikit.
Dah tandatangan persetujuan terhadap terma pinjaman PTPTN
Dah pinjam pun duit PTPTN, lepas tu nak memberontak tak nak bayar?
Nak berdemonstrasi pula?
Kalau dah tak reti nak bayar / tak nak bayar, kenapa pinjam dari PTPTN?
Antara alasan-alasan fikiran yang tak berakal :
1) Dah sign, nak buat macam mana.
- Yang kau pergi sign apsal? Ada orang paksa kau sign? Kau sendiri yang nak terjebak dalam benda ini. Kau juga yang bercita-cita konon-kononnya nak jadi engineer, nak jadi doktor, nak jadi arkitek, nak jadi itu, nak jadi ini, nak rumah besar, nak gaji besar. Tak siapa nak jadi orang gaji kan? Yela, orang gaji mana ada hutang PTPTN..wahahahaha. Lain kali, jangan hanya tahu bercita-cita. Kalau dah bercita-cita, sila fikirkan macam mana nak capai cita-cita itu sepenuhnya termasuklah cara nak membiayai proses-proses untuk mencapai cita-cita itu.
2) Itu je pinjaman yang paling senang dapat masa itu.
- Memang lah dia paling senang. Dia senang "bersebab". (disokong kerajaan, default study loan utk semua pelajar, etc)
Tapi kalau kau tak suka / dah tahu dia senang 'bersebab', kenapa tak usaha pinjaman cara lain? Mak bapak ke sedara mara ke kawan kawan ke. bank ke? Persatuan kampung ke? Opps, dah tentulah kau tak fikirkan semua tu kan. Takperlu lah nak salahkan mak bapak korang orang susah. Kalau betul lah mak bapak korang ini orang susah, pergi lah belajar rajin-rajin dan skor 4.0 every sem. Terus dapat perlepasan dari PTPTN. Tak payah kau nak tunjuk pandai nak berdemonstrasi tepi padang mansuhkan PTPTN. Kalau pandai sangat, pergi skor 4 flat tiap-tiap sem, bukan pergi berjemur berdemonstrasi tapi tak dapat apa-apa. Itu tolol namanya.
3) Tak ada kerja, nak bayar macam mana.
- Aik, nak orang suapkan kerja untuk kau juga ye? Pergi lah cari! Ooo, dah cari tapi tak ada yang sesuai ( gaji besar? office selesa? nak jadi mandur?) Eh.. baru nak sedar dunia ini tinggi atau rendah? Pengalaman pun tak ada, boleh pula nak demand. Boleh lagi kau nak memilih kerja. Cakap je lah yang kau tu memilih kerja/tak kompetitif atau dengan ringkas, MALAS. Tak payah beri alasan tak ada kerja atau susah cari kerja. Banyak je kerja kat luar tu perlukan orang. Kau je yang tanak kerja atau malas nak navigate "alam pekerjaan". Negara kita ini pun sibuk-sibuk bagi kerja kat orang-orang Indonesia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam sebab ada orang-orang yang macam kau ini malas dan tak nak buat kerja yang konon-kononya remeh.
4) Dah ada kerja, tapi tak nak bayar juga.
Kau memang bebal. Kau lah antara orang-orang yang tak sedar diri, yang telah ambil hak orang lain tapi tak reti nak pulangkan semua. Lepas tu, kau bising-bising seperti yang lain.
5) PTPTN ini riba (dan lain-lain2) oleh itu, tak nak bayar.
Baca nombor 2. Lagi satu, kalau rasakan PTPTN ini ada riba, kau pergi sign apasal? Orang yang memungkiri janji (tak nak bayar lepas dah berjanji nak bayar) lagi teruk sebab dah jadi munafiq. Ini tiba-tiba kau nak cerita pasal riba pulak. Kalau belum pinjam dan belum sign agreement, boleh lah nak cerita pasal riba. Ini dah sign, kau dah makan minum belajar enjoy sakan dengan duit itu, kau nak cerita pasal riba pula? Kau memang hebat. Dasar si tolol tak mengenang budi.
Kesimpulan?
Pada aku, senang je. Dah pinjam, sila bayar.
Kalau bawa mahkamah, sah-sah kau yang salah sebab kau dah sign.
Riba? Itu adalah pilihan kau. Kalau kau rasa benda itu ada unsur-unsur riba, TAK PAYAH AMBIL PINJAMAN PTPTN dari awal-awal lagi dan pergi USAHA cari duit sendiri. Dalam dunia ini, kita masih lagi boleh memilih. Tak ada siapa suruh kau me'riba' kan diri tu. JANGAN SALAHKAN ORANG LAIN ATAS PILIHAN KAU SENDIRI. Itu bodoh tak berakal, tak mengenang budi namanya.
Aku paling tak suka bila bangsa aku menunjukkan kebodohannya dan kependekan-akalnya yang disengajakan/tak tersengaja dinegara sendiri, tanpa segan silu. Aku juga paling tak suka bila "bukan bangsa aku" mengambil kesempatan ini untuk menjahanamkan lagi bangsa dan negara aku. Dah yang paling aku bengang, bila bangsa aku sendiri yang 'merelakan' nya, sebab nak hidup senang /'short-cut' punya pasal. Fikir-fikirkan.

Using Knoppix - Reinstall or restore GRUB / Bootloader
grub-install does not work?
No problem.
In this example we have one disk sda with 3 partitions:
sda1 = /boot
sda2 = swap
sda3 = /
Grub has a different namespace.
The first disk is hd0 and partitions are named for example hd0,0 for sda1.
To install grub to the first disk with sda1 as its boot partition run:
# grub
root (hd0,0)
setup (hd0)
quit
Before that, do this :
Boot Knoppix
$ mkdir /mnt/root
$ mount -t ext3 /dev/sda3 /mnt/root
$ mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /mnt/root/boot
$ mount -t proc none /mnt/root/proc
$ mount -o bind /dev /mnt/root/dev
$ chroot /mnt/root
P.s:
- To wipe out bootloader, run : dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=446 count=1
- To wipe out bootloader (with Partition Table), run : dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1
- To backup partiton table, run : sfdisk -d /dev/sda > part.txt
- To restore partiton table, run : sfdisk /dev/sda < part.txt

Beware, scammer!
Be careful when you want to buy used stuff online.
Remember, don't do pre-payment when buying stuff online.
Always choose Cash on Delivery and always choose to meet the seller in person
(yep, you can go and meet the seller, and bring along your friends as well, just for safety reason)
and insist on inspecting the item that you want to buy.
My story :
One fine day, I tried to purchase a Nikon D700 camera.
Looking for a used item, so I decided to go to Mudah.my.
Some searches was done, and a few advertised item popped out.
Saw this specific ad.
Price advertised was slightly lower than typical market price (and that what attracts you as a buyer),
and luckily did not fall into his trap.
Scammer Details :
Name (or what he claims to be) : Richard Simeon
Email : rsimeon15@yahoo.com (there might be other alternate addresses. See 'Other Reference(s)')
Phone : 016 6152436 / 0166152436 (01661524xx)
Bank Account Details : Ambank 5 2 6 7 4 8 8 4 0 0 0 9 6 7 2 7 (52674 884000 96727) / 5267488400096727
Modus Operandi :
Potential buyer (me) contacts him through the advertisement posted in an online website (in my case, Mudah.my)
He then replies (thru email) and claims to be coming from some part of Malaysia (in my case, Johor)
and will tell you that he has been assigned to some remote parts in Malaysia
(in my case, Sarawak, East Malaysia) for job purposes.
He will arrogantly ask whether you are a serious buyer (LOL) trying to show that he is serious as well.
When asked for a meeting (or cash on delivery / COD), he refuses with some funny reason
(in my case, he is in remote location).
Asked for a meeting, he give funny reason his wife is pregnant, wanted to use money quickly,
cannot reserve the item, wanted to use money for Raya, LOL..)
Then, I asked how do we move forward.
He asks for initial deposit to be made before he can send the stuff through 'registered' Pos Laju with insurance.
He also will send the warranty card after you bank-in/deposit the balance. (since he claims it is still new in box)
You think I'm going to trust you blindly by simply depositing the money?
Better luck next time, scammer.
p.s I'm lucky as I'm quite literate on this scamming thingy.
Sad to here there's a lot of cases happening to people out there.
Misc:
1) Automatically did some Google search on his details. Founded links sharing the same story (See 'Other Reference')
2) Tried to trace his location (by IP address) but unfortunately it returns a US based location.
I believe he masked his existence by using a anonymous proxy when accessing his web mail, I supposed.
I think, since his online presence is almost untraceable (or it is just to many variables that need to be looked into),
the only way to identify and catch this guy is to collaborate with the police, the seller's bank, telco, SKMM, ISP, etc,
if the scammer/seller is operating locally.
What to do if you are a victim of scam:
I think, personally, given the environment in the country, there's nothing much you can do actually
(since these scammers really know how to hide their identity by maximizing on systems loophole or inefficiency),
except that you can help to prevent potential cases in the future, by doing :
0) Accept the fact that you have been conned.
Learn from the lesson (and please scold yourselves because you did not choose to hear/care about your
friends/family/spouse/etc advice if you received one before being conned.
Even most online banks and websites tell you not to do online transfer to person you do not know).
Don't start to blame other people of your mistake.
1) Do not delete or throw away the bank-in / deposit receipt and all communication done (email, sms, etc)
between you and the seller. This is for proof purposes.
2) Do a police report quickly. CC to necessary Gov agency, e.g SKMM / MCMC, KPDN, etc. to obtain
necessary support. I heard that there's a cyber crime unit
in Bukit Aman IPD, but cannot confirm on that.
3) Contact the seller's bank (Fraud dept, I think?) and do a report. Bring all your proofs and police report.
4) Write a blog (so people can refer and relate or do checking) or share your experience through your
social network (Facebook, etc)
If you need some action taken to the seller, the police, bank, telco, ISP and relevent gov agencies must work
and communicate among themselves.
But getting them to talk among themselves is going to take too much effort and time, unless there's a lot
of report being made.

My story :
One fine day, I tried to purchase a Nikon D700 camera.
Looking for a used item, so I decided to go to Mudah.my.
Some searches was done, and a few advertised item popped out.
Saw this specific ad.
Price advertised was slightly lower than typical market price (and that what attracts you as a buyer),
and luckily did not fall into his trap.
Scammer Details :
Name (or what he claims to be) : Richard Simeon
Email : rsimeon15@yahoo.com (there might be other alternate addresses. See 'Other Reference(s)')
Phone : 016 6152436 / 0166152436 (01661524xx)
Bank Account Details : Ambank 5 2 6 7 4 8 8 4 0 0 0 9 6 7 2 7 (52674 884000 96727) / 5267488400096727
Modus Operandi :
Potential buyer (me) contacts him through the advertisement posted in an online website (in my case, Mudah.my)
He then replies (thru email) and claims to be coming from some part of Malaysia (in my case, Johor)
and will tell you that he has been assigned to some remote parts in Malaysia
(in my case, Sarawak, East Malaysia) for job purposes.
He will arrogantly ask whether you are a serious buyer (LOL) trying to show that he is serious as well.
When asked for a meeting (or cash on delivery / COD), he refuses with some funny reason
(in my case, he is in remote location).
Asked for a meeting, he give funny reason his wife is pregnant, wanted to use money quickly,
cannot reserve the item, wanted to use money for Raya, LOL..)
Then, I asked how do we move forward.
He asks for initial deposit to be made before he can send the stuff through 'registered' Pos Laju with insurance.
He also will send the warranty card after you bank-in/deposit the balance. (since he claims it is still new in box)
You think I'm going to trust you blindly by simply depositing the money?
Better luck next time, scammer.
p.s I'm lucky as I'm quite literate on this scamming thingy.
Sad to here there's a lot of cases happening to people out there.
Misc:
1) Automatically did some Google search on his details. Founded links sharing the same story (See 'Other Reference')
2) Tried to trace his location (by IP address) but unfortunately it returns a US based location.
I believe he masked his existence by using a anonymous proxy when accessing his web mail, I supposed.
I think, since his online presence is almost untraceable (or it is just to many variables that need to be looked into),
the only way to identify and catch this guy is to collaborate with the police, the seller's bank, telco, SKMM, ISP, etc,
if the scammer/seller is operating locally.
What to do if you are a victim of scam:
I think, personally, given the environment in the country, there's nothing much you can do actually
(since these scammers really know how to hide their identity by maximizing on systems loophole or inefficiency),
except that you can help to prevent potential cases in the future, by doing :
0) Accept the fact that you have been conned.
Learn from the lesson (and please scold yourselves because you did not choose to hear/care about your
friends/family/spouse/etc advice if you received one before being conned.
Even most online banks and websites tell you not to do online transfer to person you do not know).
Don't start to blame other people of your mistake.
1) Do not delete or throw away the bank-in / deposit receipt and all communication done (email, sms, etc)
between you and the seller. This is for proof purposes.
2) Do a police report quickly. CC to necessary Gov agency, e.g SKMM / MCMC, KPDN, etc. to obtain
necessary support. I heard that there's a cyber crime unit
in Bukit Aman IPD, but cannot confirm on that.
3) Contact the seller's bank (Fraud dept, I think?) and do a report. Bring all your proofs and police report.
4) Write a blog (so people can refer and relate or do checking) or share your experience through your
social network (Facebook, etc)
If you need some action taken to the seller, the police, bank, telco, ISP and relevent gov agencies must work
and communicate among themselves.
But getting them to talk among themselves is going to take too much effort and time, unless there's a lot
of report being made.
Unless you really can create 'some special' attention or drive the collaboration
( or you're the prime minister who got conned by a online seller, eh?), your money is good as gone.
